●5/1 (Wednesday) – Cadence training using a track bike at Hiyoshi on a rainy day
I practiced my cadence skills with a gear ratio of 48-16. This training was specifically for track cycling races in Higashinihon.
●5/2 (Thursday) – Tabata 40-20
On this day, I had four classes from periods 2 to 5. That’s why I focused on high-intensity and short-duration training, specifically HIIT, on Thursdays.
●5/3 (Friday) – Cadence training using a track bike at Hiyoshi
Prior to the Higashinihon competition, I worked on improving my speed skills. I participated in the TSP event as the third runner, and it was crucial for me to maintain smooth pedaling even when exhausted. I plan to continue this training in the future.
●5/4 (Saturday) – Z2 ride with two taru rides
Due to accumulating fatigue, I did a Z2 ride that included two taru. Other team members who were not participating in the Higashinihon competition went to a safety ride course, so I trained alone.
●5/5 (Sunday) – Hina Abe, Takahashi, Hasegawa, Eishun, Takashima (Taru returns)
We initially scheduled Taru’s time was about 9:00, but my time was 8:20. Since my Z2 training time from last month was a bit short, this training helped me with enhance my endurance ability.
I achieved my personal best time on the Hina Toge, which made me very happy.
