9/2 インカレロード 4周DNF

I tried to write it in Japanese, but it turned out really negative so I decided to write it in English. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Since the spring of my junior year, my goal had been to not get dropped on the first climb of a class 1+2 road race. I tried all kinds of training, but I never achieved my goal to the end.
Maybe it was a lack of effort, continuance, or both.

Although I did not get even close to the result I wanted, I have few regrets. Especially after I finished job hunting in early June, I am proud of how I pushed myself every day and gave it my all. I aso have no regrets concerning the days leading up to the race, and my efforts during the actual race.
My biggest regret is that I could not show my younger teammates how to finish the intercollegiate road race.

I was able to dedicate my college life to a great sport, meet amazing people, and have so many unbelievable experiences. While there is a part of me that wants to keep racing and finish on a good note, I feel that it is time to move on with my life. For the remainder of my college life and in my career as a corporate employee come April, I hope to produce outstanding results and have a positive influence on everyone around me. When times are tough, I will remember everything that these 4 years on the Keio Cycling Team has taught me.

I would like to thank everyone who supported and cheered for me along the way, I will never forget each and every person. I hope that my awesome teammates have great cycling careers, and achieve their respective goals.
