It feels nice to write in English, so I went out to practice just for the sole purpose of writing this journal. I first went to Odaiba thinking that I could spin my legs and clear my head. As it turned out, my body was fast asleep and I couldn’t even spin my legs without panting. I felt pretty bummed out after doing a quick lap around the Odaiba area, but when I returned to Toyosu I had only ridden 15km.
I passed my house and kept going all the way to Arakawa River. Instead of going upstream as usual, I went downstream. There was only 1km until the river mouth, where I set down my bike and sat down. I found an article about a chain lubricant from Ceramic Speed that dries overnight and doesn’t collect dirt, but my hopes of buying it disappeared as it cost $75 a bottle. It started to rain so I got up and headed home, sprinting a couple of times along the way. I could only hit 991 watts, but my legs felt a lot better than when I first set out.
In short, it wasn’t really practice.
